Renku Release September 2026: Apps, Project Storage & more Connectors

We’re excited to share that the latest Renku release is out, and it takes a big step in how you share your work. Until now, Renku has been a great place to build. This release makes it just as easy to publish and share the results.

Highlights

  • :bar_chart: Renku Apps. Publish your project as a live, always-ready app at a stable public URL. No session for your audience to launch, no setup on their end. Serve dashboards built with Streamlit or Shiny, interactive demos or model endpoints, all directly from your project. Add a one-line Procfile to your repo, attach the repo to the project, and create the app launcher. Check out our demo project on energy demand for buildings, or read the docs to get started.
  • :optical_disk: Project Storage. Renku now offers its own persistent storage — fast, shared across everyone on the project, and available in every session and job without copying data around. No external data connector needed. We’re rolling this out with limited access first: get in touch at hello@renku.io with the project where you’d like to enable it. Read more in the docs.
  • :puzzle_piece: New data integrations. Import datasets directly from PSI SciCat, and export your data to EnviDat.
