Since V2 Renku projects don’t have the same mechanism to build images on every commit (mind that the Renku project is no longer closely bound to a specific repository), the migration also creates a new session launcher based on the latest image available for the V1 project.

Before turning off the V1 sessions, you could rebuild the image from the session tab. Now, the quickest way is to go into the GitLab project’s page and go into the “Jobs” section (E.G: [Jobs · BA\_MATH\_GEN-16 / ET\_data · GitLab](https://gitlab.renkulab.io/ba_math_gen-16/et-data/-/jobs) ) and manually re-run the last job to create the image.

Mind that it might still fail for other reasons – E.G. you recently posted this problem.

> Hello @schymans , I looked at your project and I couldn’t find anything obviosuly wrong. I checked the jobs for building the Docker image ([the “start with options” page](https://renkulab.io/projects/ba_math_gen-16/et-data/sessions/new) will always link to the last pipeline when it fails – in this case, [here is the last job](https://gitlab.renkulab.io/ba_math_gen-16/et-data/-/jobs/768178)) and noticed it was failing while installing the requirements. I played around a bit and got the same failure when using your requirements file ([reference](https://gitlab.renkulab.io/lorenzo.cavazzi.tech/test-new-20250528/-/jobs/768276)), but I could fix it by removing a couple of dependencies that were triggering the fai…
