# Renku rm didn't remove

Good morning renku team,

I removed several data sets with `renku dataset rm`. As this didn’t remove the data itself, I removed the actual data with `renku rm data/folder`. This worked fine for two folders but led to the following error for the third folder: [renku rm a data folder · Issue #2315 · SwissDataScienceCenter/renku-python · GitHub](https://github.com/SwissDataScienceCenter/renku-python/issues/2315)

The repo is now in a dirty state (due to `.gitattributes`). What should I consider when proceeding? Can I simply manually remove the folder and adjust `.gitattributes`? Or are more steps needed?
