# Git lfs fetch selected files

Hi there,

it would be nice to have more options regarding git lfs fetch. Most of the time (and especially for sharing with others), only two git lfs files are needed… When starting an environment, it would be convenient if only those two files are fetched… the files to fetch could be selected in a dropdown (or similar) or they are set somewhere in the background…

I think this is a really good idea - as a first implementation, would having something like a `.gitignore`-type file be OK in your view?

Great to hear!

Yes, a .gitignore type of file sounds good to me. This would be easy to maintain and sufficient for sharing with others when they don’t need all the data
