# Did all projects become public?

I just realised that a lot of projects I thought were set to “private” or “internal”, are now public. Does anyone know if this happened to all projects by mistake, during one of the recent updates?

@schymans I checked and I can create a private project without any problems. Also I see that my old (existing) private projects are still private. If you have projects in a group in Gitlab then I think that changing the visibility/access of the group will affect all projects in it. Perhaps something like this has happened?

Thanks for verifying that this is not a general problem. Perhaps I changed the group visibility myself, not sure any more, will check.
